Our Services

We offer a simple, straightforward and affordable way for individuals and small businesseses to apply to register trademarks. Our goal is to simplify the application filing process and ensure that your application is completed correctly so that there is little chance of rejection from the USPTO.

Application Packages:

Basic Application Package - You complete our online form with the information we need to prepare your application. Once we receive all of the necessary information, we immediately prepare your trademark application and all other materials that must accompany your application. Within five business days (or two business days for expedited applications) you will receive the entire electronic application with complete instructions for “electronically” signing the application via the USPTO website. All you do is electronically sign and date the application and within a few hours you will receive a Filing Receipt via email from the USPTO telling you that your application has been received and is being processed. The USPTO will correspond directly with you regarding the application.

Application Filing & Monitoring -If you would like a trademark attorney to file and monitor the progress of your application for you, we can do that as well. This service includes preparation and filing of your application, monitoring of all follow up dates and official USPTO deadlines, responding to any informal correspondence from the USPTO and forwarding your trademark registration certificate. Informal matters are matters that can be handled by telephone conference with the Examiner at the USPTO. Formal matters are more substantive rejections from the USPTO and are not included in this package.

Search Packages:
We never recommend that you file a trademark application without first obtaining a thorough search to ensure that the trademark you have chosen isn’t in use by another individual or company. The type of search you need depends on several factors including your budget, the type of trademark you’ve chosen and the length of time (if any) you have used the trademark. We have three search options:

Knockout Search – This is the minimum search recommended before filing an application. It includes only federal and state trademark applications and registrations that are identical to your trademark. A licensed trademark attorney will review the search results and give you a brief written report listing any trademarks that could potentially block your use or registration of your chosen trademark. This search is free with any new trademark application.

Screening Search – This more extensive search includes federal and state trademark applications and registrations that are identical or similar to your trademark. A licensed trademark attorney will review the search results and provide a written report pointing out any potentially conflicting trademarks. Because the USPTO could reject your application if there is a trademark that is not identical, but similar to your trademark, it is important to consider any similar trademarks that might exist that could block your use and registration of your trademark.

Comprehensive Federal, State and Common Law Search - The most comprehensive search we offer includes everything covered in the Screening Search as well as a common law search. An individual or company can have rights in a trademark even without filing a federal or state trademark application, simply by using the trademark. For this reason, it is important to review all uses of a particular word or phrase to make sure it isn’t being used by someone else. A licensed trademark attorney will carefully review all search results and provide you with a written report regarding any potentially conflicting trademarks.
